Upcoming Compass Guide online course in real time: starting on 01 May 2025
Registration are open for the Compass Guide online course “How to Plan Your Research Project: A Step-by-Step Practical Guide for Postgraduate Students“ which starts on 01 May 2025 (New Zealand time; UTC+12).
This course provides a step-by-step practical guidance for planning research projects and developing a detailed project plan.
This course will be delivered online in English. The course will consist of four sessions of two hours each. Participants will receive a 30-day complimentary viewing-only access to the book “Compass Guide: How to Plan Your Research Project”.

Three new translations of the Compass Guide books
After receiving an overwhelmingly positive feedback on the Spanish versions of the two Compass Guide books last year, we are excited to announce the release of three new translations our books in early 2025: another book in Spanish, one in Portuguese and one in Chinese. More translations coming soon. Watch this space!

12-month subscriptions for digital versions of the Compass Guide books
In addition to the printed copies of the Compass Guide books, we are now offering individuals an option of a 12-month subscription for accessing a viewing-only digital (PDF) version of the Compass Guide books.
Subscriptions are available for individual books and for a package of all four Compass Guide books.
We are working on transitioning to e-books during 2025.

The four published Compass Guide books are now available for purchase as a Combo Package* – both in digital (PDF) format (as a 12-month subscription) and a paper format.
*The Combo Package includes 1 copy of each of the four Compass Guide books.
Contact us by email if you would like to replace some of the English books with Spanish versions of the same books in your Combo Package at no additional cost.

Year 2024 in Review: Dr Mandic’s Selected Engagements and Activities
Dr Mandic was honoured to be the finalist for the Academic Achievement in Project Management Award 2024 by Project Management Institute of New Zealand for her book “Compass Guide for Research Project Management”.
Dr Mandic presented the latest BEATS Research findings at the International Society for Physical Activity and Health (ISPAH) Congress 2024 in Paris (France)
The final BEATS Research Programme Report was released to mark the closure of the programme. Check out this 20-page infographic report showcasing different aspects of the 10-year BEATS journey.
